OSHA’s top ten list includes the safety topics that results in many citations and injuries every year. These are the elements that OSHA is most likely to look at if they inspect your facility. We cover some of the things they are going to look at for hazard communication (chemical hazards), respiratory protection, powered industrial trucks (such as forklifts and aerial lifts), lockout/tagout, and machine guarding.

Companies with hazards in these areas are at high risk of having an employee fatality or severe injury if the programs are not robust, trained on, and have solid best-practices in place. In many cases, if companies focus on best-practices rather than just compliance, they can develop a program that will even make the jobs easier, safer, and more efficient.
